Duluth's "Movies in the Park" event will adopt a drive-in style for summer 2020.
According to Greater Downtown Council President Kristi Stokes, COVID-19 social distancing regulations are preventing the organization and its partners from holding the usual "Movies in the Park" gathering at Leif Erickson Park.
Instead, they'll host "Movies the Park(ing) Lot," with help from sponsor Carlson Orthodontics.
Stokes said the series will kick off Friday, July 17 in the DECC parking lot.
She added that cars will be spaced out to allow for social distancing, and attendees will be asked to remain in their vehicles. Concession orders can be delivered car-side.
Movies will be shown every Friday night from July 17 through August 28.
Here’s the season line-up (times are expected to be announced in the near future):
July 17th Dolittle
July 24th A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
July 31st Jumanji: The Next Level
August 7th Harriet
